CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The State Primary and Montgomery County General Election was held Thursday, and polls closed at 7 p.m.

On the ballots were county mayor, sheriff, the entire County Commission and part of the School Board. This election also included party primaries for governor, US Senate, US House, state Senate and state House, along with Executive Committee and judicial retention races.

Here are the final results with early/absentee votes and 39 of 39 precincts reporting, in the contested Montgomery County races.

What happens next in local elections?

Nov. 3: Election Day for State General and City of Clarksville Election, with the mayor and half the City Council seats on the ballot. The voter registration deadline is Oct. 5. Early voting will be Oct. 14-29.
