CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – As part of an effort to help give voters the information they need to make educated decisions on the Aug. 6 ballot, Clarksville Now has reviewed campaign donation reports in the Montgomery County sheriff’s and county mayor’s races.

According to the campaign donations inspected on Tuesday, July 14, incumbent Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden is leading the charge with over $118,000 in reported contributions from mid-January to July 10.

Golden’s fundraising result is almost 26 times the amount for candidate Isaac Greenwood, who has raised more than $4,500 in 2026 thus far.

Meanwhile, candidate Christine McNemar has one reported contribution for $40, which she provided. McNemar has stated on social media that she is running a zero-fund campaign, refusing financial contributions because she believes “leadership shouldn’t be for sale.”
