CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – It’s time again for Clarksville Now to celebrate the holidays by guiding you to the best Christmas light displays in the county. But first, we need your help!
If you have an amazing lights display to share – your house, or even someone else’s – take a night-time photo of the fully decorated house and post it to this site: Christmas in Clarksville. (Be sure to include your email address in case we need to contact you.) Or, you can email your photo, address and display description to news@clarksvillenow.com with “Christmas Lights” in the subject field.
The top three residential winners get bragging rights, a sign for their yard and a commemorative ornament. The first-place residential winner also gets $300 cash – not a bad way to offset the extra power bills!
Businesses, you’re in this too! Montgomery County Government is sponsoring its third annual “Deck the County: Holiday Business Showdown!” Be sure to click the Business category when you enter.
In addition to bragging rights, the top business winner gets a digital display ad at Downtown Commons from January through March, and a free advertising package from 5 Star Media Group.
- For the residential category, Clarksville Now will pick the top five, stop by the house for photos, and then readers will vote to decide who has the best lights.
- For Deck the County, the five best businesses will be posted on Montgomery County Government’s Facebook page for public voting.
For both contests, entries will be collected until Thursday, Dec. 10. Winners will be announced by Q108 and County Mayor Wes Golden at the Downtown Commons Ice Sculpting and Movie Night on Dec. 21.
You can go to Christmas in Clarksville today to post your photo and check out the early-bird houses that are already there, but be sure to come back to the site later, once dozens of your neighbors have joined in the fun!
