CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – City mayoral candidate Mark Riggins has a commanding lead over opponents Brian Zacharias and Wanda Smith when it comes to campaign donations.

According to the donation reports inspected by Clarksville Now on July 14 (after the Q2 deadline), as well as additional reports inspected Aug. 18, Riggins raised $149,500 from mid-January to July 10. That is almost 12 times the amount for Zacharias, who has raised $12,771. Not far behind Zacharias is Smith with $8,285.

Those totals are for the first- and second-quarter filing deadlines. The next filing deadline is for the third quarter on Oct. 13, which covers July 1 to Sept. 30.
