CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The State General and City of Clarksville election will be Tuesday, Nov. 3, with city mayor and half the City Council on the ballot. The council wards up for election are Wards 1, 2, 6, 7, 10 and 11.

Candidates have begun picking up their petitions, and here’s who’s planning to run so far, with their candidate profiles. More candidates are likely to jump in, with the qualifying deadline not until Aug. 20.

What happens next in Clarksville-Montgomery County elections?

Aug. 6 election: The county general election. In addition, it will be the state primary, with governor, U.S. Senate, U.S. House and all three state House races on the ballot. Registration deadline is July 7. Early voting begins July 17.

Nov. 3 election: In addition to Nov. 3 being the state general election, it will also be the City of Clarksville general election, with the mayor and half the City Council seats on the ballot. Early voting begins Oct. 14.
