Owners Dr. April Poindexter and Anna Sauafea created Everwild from a shared passion to give children a place where childhood is honored and families feel truly connected. “We are thrilled to officially share Everwild with the Clarksville community. It’s been our dream to provide an exceptional educational experience for children because they deserve it,” said Poindexter.
“For us, Everwild represents an invitation for children to grow wild with wonder,” Sauafea said.
What does a Reggio‑inspired approach look like? At Everwild, children are seen as capable, curious learners who thrive when given rich opportunities to explore the world around them. This includes hands‑on experiences, open‑ended materials, and projects sparked by children’s interests. Teachers observe children’s interests and help them investigate their questions more deeply. In a Reggio approcach, classrooms are designed to feel warm, beautiful and connected to nature, because the environment itself is considered a “third teacher.” Poindexter and Sauafea also highlight family partnerships as a valuable and special aspect of a rich learning experience.
