CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – It’s time again for the Sheriff’s Office No Shave Contest, when deputies are allowed a break from the razors, and the public has some fun deciding who wore it best.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies normally aren’t allowed to grow facial hair, but for the contest period each deputy can make a $40 donation each month to let the stubble keep going, said department spokeswoman Sandra Brandon. This time, it’s from Nov. 1 through the morning of Dec. 30.

The proceeds for November went to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. For December, they’ll be split evenly between Manna Cafe, Soldiers and Families Embraced (SAFE), FUEL and Urban Ministries.

Clarksville Now is helping out with the contest, offering a voting page with all the photos. Check it out below and let us know who should win. Whoever gets the most votes gets bragging rights and can keep his beard for one more month. Everyone else will have to hit the razors and shaving cream.
