CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Clarksville Police announced on Tuesday that the victim in the domestic-related homicide has been identified as 22-year-old Samarah Smith of Murray, Kentucky.

On Sunday, at approximately 9:25 p.m., officers with the Clarksville Police Department responded to a residence on Stillwood Drive following a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located Smith who was suffering from multiple stab wounds.

She was then transported to Vanderbilt Clarksville, where she was pronounced deceased, said CPD spokesperson Scott Beaubien.

The suspect, 21-year-old Cam’Ron Walker, was taken into custody at the scene and has been charged with homicide, according to previous reports.

He was later booked into the Montgomery County Jail, where he remains, said Beaubien. The investigation is still active and ongoing.
