CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Kirkwood High School girls basketball head coach Tenisha Lockridge has resigned to pursue another professional opportunity, the school announced Wednesday.

“Coach Lockridge has made a lasting impact on our student-athletes and our program,” said Kirkwood Athletic Director Joshua Stoeckl. “We are grateful for her dedication and the positive foundation she has helped establish. We wish her nothing but the best in her next chapter.”

Clarksville Now has reached out to Lockridge for comment.

The Lady Cobras went 14-12 in their one year under Lockridge, the best record in their programs short three-year history, placing third in District 13-4A. The program has yet to have a senior player on the roster. Now, Kirkwood will begin a search for its fourth head coach in as many years as the program has existed.
