CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – We are headed into week four of the Tennessee high school football season. This week, the games are highlighted by a couple of inner-city matchups, along with some important regional contests. All games kick off at 7 p.m. on Friday.

Clarksville Now Game of the Week: Northwest Vikings (1-2) @ Montgomery Central Indians (1-2)

Two old rivals renew their matchup this Friday across the river as the Montgomery Central Indians host the Northwest High Vikings.

MCHS is coming off a convincing first win against Harpeth, while Northwest has dropped their last two games after winning their season opener at Fort Campbell. Both teams look to clinch their second win of the season on Friday night.

Kenwood High Knights (1-2) @ West Creek Coyotes (0-3)

The “Battle of the Mill” will play out it’s 17th edition between the Coyotes and Knights on Friday night.

West Creek finally put some points on the board last week against Antioch; however, it wasn’t enough in the end as they moved to 0-3.

Meanwhile, Kenwood has dropped its last two games, including an inner-city loss to Kirkwood last week, after winning their season opener against Hillsboro.

Northeast High Eagles (2-1) @ Kirkwood High Cobras (3-0)

It’s old school versus new school on Friday night for Kirkwood’s homecoming game.

Northeast fell to McCracken County last week, narrowly missing their first 3-0 start to a season since 2011. As for Kirkwood, they have won by at least 20 points in all their matchups this season. A very important game for playoff seeding in region 7-5A.

Clarksville High Wildcats (1-2) @ Overton Bobcats (1-2)

A second straight region matchup takes the Wildcats to metro-Nashville to face the Overton Bobcats.

Clarksville High clinched their first win of the season in the Warfield Shield game, after beginning the year 0-2. The last time these two squads met up was in the first round of the 6A state playoffs in 2022, and CHS won 47-14.

Nashville Christian Eagles (3-0) @ Clarksville Academy Cougars (2-1)

The number one-ranked team in Division II-A football in the state of Tennessee travels to Simpson Field for a date with the Clarksville Academy Cougars. Nashville Christian is led by the state’s number one-ranked quarterback in the class of 2026, Jared Curtis, who is also a University of Georgia commit.

Clarksville Academy, coming off their first loss of the year against Grace Christian, has an opportunity to shock some folks on Friday night, while winning their third game of the season.

Hendersonville Commandos (0-2) @ Rossview High Hawks (0-3)

The Hawks play host to an old region foe in the Hendersonville Commandos, with both teams looking for their first win of the season.

Rossivew’s 0-3 start hasn’t been what first year head coach Stratie Young imagined, but it has come against opponents such as Springfield, Kirkwood High and Clarksville High. The Hawks look to get right against the Commandos and earn Young his first win as head coach.

Hopkins County Central Storm (1-2) @ Fort Campbell Falcons (1-2)

After collecting their first win of the season in the 49th Army Bowl at Fort Knox, the Falcons return home looking to even their record against the Storm.

The Falcons will rely on two-way player and reigning Clarksville Now Player of the Week Keshawn Dixon, who had more than 200 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns in his last outing.
