CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The 2022 Montgomery County Primary election was held Tuesday, and polls closed at 7 p.m.
Here are the Montgomery County results in contested races, with early and absentee votes plus 38 of 38 precincts reporting.
The DA and Circuit Court judge races also include Robertson County results, with early and absentee votes plus 18 of 18 Robertson precincts.
County Mayor
- R: Wes Golden, 67.57% (5,927 votes) – winner
- R: Wallace Redd, 32.26% (2,830 votes)
The winner will face independent Jo Ellen “Jodi” O’Connor in August.
District Attorney
- R: Robert Nash, 45.89% (3,877 votes); district total: 44.91% (5,571 votes) – winner
- R: Neil Stauffer, 41.82% (3,533 votes); district total: 43.86% (5,440 votes)
- R: Steve Powers, 12.22% (1,032 votes); district total: 11.23% (1,393 votes)
There are no opponents in August, so the winner will be the next DA.
Circuit Court Judge, Part I
- R: Adrienne Fry, 68.09% (5,723 votes), district total: 61.91% (7,744 votes) – winner
- R: John Holt, 31.72% (2,666 votes), district total: 38.09% (4,765 votes)
There are no opponents in August, so the winner will be seated as judge.
General Sessions & Juvenile Court Judge, Div. II
- R: Reid Poland, 52.33% (4,517 votes) – winner
- R: Eric Yow, 47.63% (4,111 votes)
The winner will face Democrat Merriel Bullock Neal and independent James Bagby in August.

This was a party primary to select party nominees. Only four races were contested, and they were all on the Republican ballot; there were no contested races on the Democratic ballot.
