CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Sunday night, Clarksville High softball standout Kenzie White announced her commitment to the University of Tennessee and head coach Karen Weekly.
In a statement posted to her X account, White shared her excitement about continuing her academic and athletic career in Knoxville.
“I’m excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at the University of Tennessee,” said White. “I would like to thank my family, coaches, teammates and friends for making this possible and providing me with support and love.”
Clarksville head coach Brian Rush spoke highly of White’s work ethic and impact on the program.
“We are so proud of Kenzie and the fact she will be able to play in-state at the next level as a Lady Vol,” Rush said. “This opportunity is a product of the hard work and dedication that Kenzie has given to this sport. She trains year-round, lifting and conditioning when she is not on the field.”
White is only heading into her junior season, but she is already on pace to become one of the best softball players to ever play in Montgomery County. She was named to the TSWA Class 4A All-State team this summer after hitting .631 with 20 home runs in 2026.
She sits just six home runs short of breaking former Wildcat Haley Bearden’s program record of 28 home runs. With still two seasons left to play, there will be plenty more records to be broken in purple before White suits up in orange and white.
