CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A wreck on the 41-A Bypass and Queens Bluff that occurred Sunday, June 21, has left a family grieving the loss of a family member.

Between 7:30 a.m. and 8am, Diane Kestner, 55, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado pickup eastbound on the 41-A Bypass, when the vehicle left the roadway near the Queens Bluff area and travelled down the embankment on the other side of the Bypass.

When Kestner did not reach her destination, family members began looking for her, according to a news release from Detective Michael Patterson.

At 8:25am, a member of her family and Sgt. Ransdell, of the CPD Traffic Division, located the vehicle down the embankment.  Kestner was pronounced deceased at the scene.

During the time of the crash, it was raining heavily, so the weather is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.
