CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, alongside Carnegie Management, shared new renderings Wednesday of the 254,000-square-foot Clarksville Multi-Specialty VA Clinic, while also confirming other project details and projections.
Funded by the PACT Act, this new clinic will provide a multitude of health care services ranging from primary care to mental health to specialty care, including cardiology, physical therapy and surgical procedures, to more than 39,500 enrolled veterans, said a VA news release.

Veteran enrollment expected to grow 41% through 2035
Dr. Kerri Fox, the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System interim executive director, said Montgomery County is the fastest growing market in their catchment area, and it’s expected that the veteran enrollment rate here will grow by 41% through 2035.
“By designing a clinic that meets today’s health care demands, we can deliver world-class, specialized health care that enhances access to veteran-centric care and, ultimately, elevates veterans’ experiences with VA,” Fox said in the release.
Currently, VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System has five VA clinics in Montgomery County serving more than 28,000 veterans. The veteran population in Montgomery County is forecast to grow by 12.6% over the next 10 years, said the release. By 2035, nearly 39,500 veterans will be enrolled at a VA clinic based on market data assessments.
In addition to the new Clarksville location, VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System will unveil two additional VA clinics in Nashville and Cookeville by 2030. These locations will offer expanded access to primary care, mental health, women’s health, and various specialty care services, said the release.

Contract awarded for more than $340 million
The Clarksville Multi-Specialty VA Clinic is slated to open by 2030 and will be located on Spring Creek Parkway, just off Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. The contract was awarded to Carnegie Management & Development Corp. for $346.8 million. They have an extensive background working with the VA on similar projects.
“We are honored to partner with the Department of Veterans Affairs on this impactful project,” said Rustom Khouri III, president of Carnegie. “This facility has been designed with innovation and sustainability in mind and reflects the immense gratitude we have for the heroes that have served our nation. We look forward to continued collaboration and the delivery of this world-class facility for the Veterans in the Tennessee Valley.”
