CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The temperature at Outlaw Field Airport reached 101 degrees at 4 p.m. Friday, with a heat index of 110.

This is the second day in a row that the temperature has hit triple digits, after reaching 100 degrees at 3 p.m. Thursday. Hot weather will continue Saturday before temperatures gradually ease through the Labor Day weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

A Heat Advisory remains in effect through 8 p.m. Saturday. “Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” the NWS said. “Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.”
