CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A woman died in a fire Wednesday afternoon in north Clarksville.
At about 2:50 p.m., Clarksville Fire Rescue responded to a fire on Senseney Circle, off Tiny Town Road. The fire was called in by teenagers walking home from school, CFR reported.
Firefighters arrived to light smoke coming from the roof. Crews made a forced entry and found an elderly woman inside. They pulled her out through the front door, and she was transported by EMS. She later died from her injuries. “We send our deepest condolences to the victim’s family and friends,” the CFR statement said.
Four dogs also died in the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Responding were CFR Ladder 10, Engine 7, Squad 1, Ladder 6, Rescue 6, Ops 2, District Chief 2 and Battalion Chief 2.
