CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The woman killed in a head-on crash on the 101st Airborne Division Parkway on Friday was employed as a Clarksville Police crossing guard.
Latrice Dodson, 46, was killed in the crash, according to police spokesman Scott Beaubien.

At about 5:45 p.m. that day, the vehicles crashed on the 101st Parkway between Peachers Mill Road and the West Fork Bridge. A preliminary CPD investigation indicates a car traveling westbound crossed into oncoming traffic and struck an eastbound car head-on, according to police spokesman Scott Beaubien.
Dodson was the front-seat passenger of the car that was hit, and she died at the scene. The driver and juvenile passenger who were in the vehicle with Dodson were in stable condition on Monday.
The driver of the westbound car had minor injuries.
Dodson began her service with CPD in August 2025 and was a dedicated member of the school safety team, helping ensure the safe passage of students each day at Kenwood and Ringgold Elementary Schools, Beaubien said. “Her commitment to protecting children and supporting the Clarksville community will not be forgotten.”
This incident remains under investigation, and charges are pending. Anyone with information related to this crash is asked to contact FACT Investigator Castillo at 931-648-0656, ext. 5150.
Correction: Castillo is the lead investigator.
