CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Northeast High School head boys basketball coach Ivard Brimely has stepped down after three years at the position, he informed Clarksville Now on Thursday. Brimley is stepping away from coaching entirely. The Eagles were 8-67 during his tenure and did not win a postseason game.
“Every season comes and goes – and now, after 22 years of coaching in Arizona and Tennessee, my season is coming to a close,” Brimley said.
“This decision didn’t come lightly. At this point in my life, my family and my church need more of my time and attention. Coaching has been a blessing. I walk away grateful for every moment.”
