CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – West Creek High junior guard Kameron Bowers has been named Clarksville Now Player of the Week following his consistent play over the week of Dec. 9th. In that time frame, the Coyotes went 2-0 and defeated their rival Northeast High and defending state champion Chatanooga Prep.

During his two games played, Bowers averaged 19.5 points, 9.5 assists, 5 rebounds and 6 steals per game. In short, Bowers did a little of everything to ensure his Coyotes stayed on the winning track, as West Creek now sits with a 5-2 record.

“Kameron Bowers has made significant progress in both his mental and physical game,” said Coyote head coach Matthew Hardaway. “This offseason, he has fully committed himself to guiding the team in a positive direction. The team has embraced his leadership, and they are responding by competing against some of the toughest opponents in Middle and West Tennessee.

“Bowers’ leadership role has expanded considerably as a junior, though there is still room for growth. With his continued development and the strength of this talented team, the remainder of the season will surely be exciting to watch.”

“Receiving this award is truly meaningful to me, as it acknowledges the hard work and dedication I’ve putting into improving every aspect of my game,” Bowers told Clarksville Now. “It serves as a reminder that my efforts are being recognized, and it motivates me to continue striving toward my future goals.”
