UPDATE: Interstate 24 traffic returning to normal after wrecks in Clarksville

Update, 4:10 p.m.: Traffic has mostly returned to normal, with some lingering backups

Update, 3:50 p.m.: The backup has shifted. It’s now from just before Exit 8 to about mile marker 9.

Previously:

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Interstate 24 was backed up in Clarksville after two wrecks.

At 3:25 p.m., I-24 eastbound was backed up from about mile marker 9 past Exit 8 to just past Exit 4.

Drivers are encouraged to see alternate routes.
