WEATHER ALERT: Flood Advisory issued for parts of Montgomery County

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a Flood Advisory for parts of Montgomery and nearby counties.

The advisory is for southeastern Montgomery, northern Cheatham, Dickson, southeastern Houston and Robertson counties and continues until 10:45 a.m.

“At 8:41 a.m., Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen,” the alert said.

“Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.”
