CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – As the holiday season comes to a close and decorations are packed away, the City of Clarksville and Montgomery County are offering Christmas tree recycling for live (not artificial) trees.

Rotary Park: Now through Monday, Jan. 19, Montgomery County is offering Christmas tree recycling at Rotary Park, 2308 Rotary Park Drive, in the designated area of the front parking lot. Only live, undecorated trees will be accepted.

Heritage Park: Beginning Friday, Dec. 26, and continuing through Monday, Jan. 5, the city will offer Clarksville residents recycling of live Christmas trees and wreaths at Heritage Park, 1241 Peachers Mill Road.

Live Christmas trees and wreaths will be accepted. Trees and wreaths must be undecorated, unbagged, and metal backings removed. Residents can drop off their trees, from dawn to dusk, in the designated, taped-off area of Heritage Park’s soccer parking area.

The trees will be chipped on-site to be used as mulch for landscaping and trails.
