CLARKSVILLE, TN – Pitch Masters TN is an organization that focuses on small businesses. The goal is to provide them with knowledge and opportunities for growth and expansion. Pitch Masters TN Battle of the High Schools competition will highlight the young entrepreneurs here in the city of Clarksville within the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. The Historic Pitch Competition will be held Oct. 30 at TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Clarksville from 2-5p.m.

Pitch Masters TN is an organization focused on supporting the backbone of the economy through events, education, training, and funding. Pitch Masters TN has partnered with Clarksville-Montgomery County School System to give student entrepreneurs the chance to represent their school and win 1 of 3 cash prizes. There will also be student vendor opportunities.

Co-founder John Crespo has over 12 years’ experience in business development. He spent a lot of time helping small businesses in his previous roles in the financial industry, but he wanted to be able to partner with them on a deeper level. “There is a vibrant entrepreneur community here and there is no better way to highlight that than through these pitch competitions,” Crespo said.

Pitch Masters is a fast-paced, fun community event that will help early-stage entrepreneurs gain valuable exposure and feedback on a business idea. Our competition rewards both innovators and investors. Innovators will pitch their business plans, learn from peers, and meet mentors in their industry.

Co-founder Guy Stanford Jr. had so many ideas in high school but had no idea where to start. “As a Clarksville native, I knew if we did an event highlighting entrepreneurship in the high schools, that it would change the culture in our community forever” said Stanford Jr. Investors will have the opportunity to assist other business professionals and become more aware of new business concepts and ideas. “God put us in position to be where we are, so it’s our job to pay it forward. We’re in position to support these kids’ dreams, so that’s exactly what we are going to do,” Stanford Jr. said.

CMCSS high schools chose their own student pitchers to represent their school through various practices. They are working with each student to ensure that they will be prepared to pitch for the Pitch Masters Tn Competition. We will have ten high schools competing for the prizes.
