CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Dogs are a man’s (and woman’s) best friend and today we celebrate the dogs that have been rescued and become apart of our families.
Wednesday marks National Rescue Dog Day, a day that recognizes the benefits of adopting a dog in need of a home.
According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, (ASPCA) 3.3 million dogs enter shelters every year.
To comply with social distancing guidelines, the Montgomery County Animal Care and Control are only doing adoptions by appointment. Make sure you call ahead to let them know you are interested in adopting.
Looking for a new pet? Check out ClarksvilleNow’s Pets of the Week. Please call the shelter at (931) 648-5750 or send an email to animalcontrol@mcgtn.net to set up an adoption appointment.
