CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Police Department responded to a shooting that already occurred early Monday morning, in the area of Trenton Village, as a homeowner shot an intruder who had broken into her home.
At approximately 1:40 a.m., CPD responded to Trenton Village, at 2740 Trenton Road, and during their preliminary investigation, information indicated that the homeowner confronted and shot an individual who had broken into her residence.
“At this time, all involved parties appear to be cooperating with investigators, and there is no threat to the public,” said CPD spokesperson Scott Beaubien.
Beaubien said that the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was flown to Nashville by AirEvac for medical treatment. His condition is currently unknown, and this is an active and ongoing investigation.
