CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Kirkwood High School junior running back Josiah Claybrooks has been named Clarksville Now Player of the Week following his performance in the Cobra’s 40-20 win over Kenwood on Friday. Claybrooks got it done on the ground consistently, rushing for 247 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries.
The Cobras faced a crucial matchup regarding playoff seeding with the Knights on homecoming last Friday. Claybrooks stepped up to the challenge and carried the rock consistently, assisting in the Cobras’ offense 40-point outing.

“Josiah is a great example of toughness,” said Cobras head coach Chad Watson. “He plays football with an old-school toughness. He also has very, very good vision and change of direction. We are thankful we have him for another year.”
