CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Kirkwood quarterback Miles Reding had his best passing performance of the season in a 38-6 victory over Dickson County on Friday, earning him Clarksville Now Player of the Week honors.
The senior threw for 292 yards and four touchdowns while adding 65 rushing yards and another touchdown on the ground. His five-touchdown performance led the way as Kirkwood picked up its biggest win of the season.
“None of this would be possible without my teammates, coaches, and everyone who supports me,” Reding told Clarksville Now. “I’m just going to keep working, keep getting better, and keep doing whatever I can to help the team.”
Reding has been a program-defining player for the Cobras. He has a 22-7 record as Kirkwood’s starting quarterback and led the program to its first playoff win last season. Through six games this season, he has thrown for 749 yards, rushed for 370 yards and totaled 13 touchdowns.
Friday’s win over Dickson County improved the Cobras to 5-1 on the season. They’ll return to action Friday looking for back-to-back wins when they take on LaVergne High School.
