CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for the Cumberland River at Clarksville and Dover.
River levels along the Cumberland remain high. With the excessive rainfall in the forecast this week, there is the possibility that some locations may approach Minor Flood Stage later this week and into the weekend.
At 11 a.m. Tuesday the river stage was 39.9 feet and slowly rising. Flood stage is 46 feet. The Flood Advisory is in effect through Thursday.

A Flash Flood Watch is also in effect for Clarksville-Montgomery County through early Thursday morning.

• Houston County, TN
• Stewart County, TN
• Todd County, KY
• Caldwell County, KY
• Trigg County, KY
• Lyon County, KY
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. The National Weather Service says flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
