CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A Public Flood Watch has been issued for Montgomery County and other surrounding counties on Wednesday, and the watch is expected to run through this weekend.
According to AccuWeather, the Public Flood Watch was issued at 11:05 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, due to forecasted excessive rainfall. Showers and thunderstorms are expected after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, and later in the evening, there is also a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 p.m.
There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms everyday leading up to Monday, July 13, according to the National Weather Service.
AccuWeather said that excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
In addition to the Public Flood Watch recently being issued for Montgomery County, here are the other new locations listed for the watch, in addition to all other counties in Middle Tennessee: Stewart, Robertson, Houston, Dickson and Cheatham County.
