Update, 3 p.m.: According to Clarksville Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Michael Rios, three or four people live at the home on Ridgeway Drive, but only one was home at the time of the fire.

Rios added that the call to Clarksville Fire Rescue came in at 1:38 p.m.

“There’s a lot of damage in the basement. Anytime the electrical (system)is damaged, we have to pull the meter, so they cannot live at the house right now. We did call the Red Cross for assistance, and they are on their way,” Rios said.

Fire investigators are on the scene right now, according to Rios.
