CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Friday night was the first high school football game for Clarksville high schools. ESPN Clarksville 104.1 FM/ 540 AM named the game between Kenwood and West Creek as the game of the week.
The game was named “The Battle of the Mill”, with both teams being located a couple miles apart on Peachers Mill Rd. The game did not disappoint. Kenwood defeated West Creek 18-7.
West Creek’s defense needed to stop Kenwood’s senior running back #3 Antwuan Branch. He is a Purdue commit and is on the radar for the Mr. Football award. Branch ran for 204 yards and 1 touchdown. Antwuan had one run for 76 yards.
Kenwood’s #7 Darius Clark added another touchdown. West Creek had a total of 217 total yards of offense with 144 rushing yards.
Kenwood had a total of 317 total yards of offense with 233 rushing yards.
Kenwood plays Clarksville high next Friday at home. West Creek plays Hopkinsville at home Friday at 7pm.
