CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), Clarksville Police Department, and U.S. Marshals Service have apprehended Timothy True Hutcherson, a Clarksville murder suspect who failed to return to jail after a court-ordered furlough on Jan. 6.
Investigators said Hutcherson was found and taken into custody in the parking lot of Zaxby’s on Lowes Drive in Clarksville at approximately 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10.
Hutcherson will be booked into the Montgomery County Jail on an escape warrant with a $1,000,000 bond.
An investigation will be conducted into his whereabouts since his escape. MCSO said if any additional charges are warranted against Hutcherson or anyone who may have aided him, they will be filed.
“Teamwork between multiple law enforcement agencies lead to the successful capture of Hutcherson,” Sheriff John Fuson said in a statement. “I am glad that we were able to apprehend him without incident.”

The court granted Hutcherson a three-hour furlough to attend his father’s funeral Jan. 6 from 6-9 p.m., but he did not return.
The Clarksville Police Department and Montgomery Sheriff’s Office took immediate action to attempt to locate Hutcherson, but he was not located until Thursday evening.
Hutcherson was jailed for a fatal shooting on Beech Street in Nov. 2017 as well as a shooting at an apartment complex on Market Street in September 2017.
