CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The qualifying deadline to run in the November 8 Tennessee State General and Clarksville City Election was Thursday, August 18. There will be six city council wards on the ballot with sixteen candidates vying for those posts along with the office of City Judge.
City Council Ward 3 includes incumbent James Lewis, and two candidates, Ernest Brockman and Rob Erb. Ward 4 has 4 candidates, Tim Chandler, Al Colvin, Burnst Gonzales and Ron Westfall. The term for Incumbent Wallace Redd has expired and he now serves on the Montgomery County Commission.
In Ward 5, incumbent Valerie Guzman is being challenged by candidates Joey Dasinger and Summer Holloway while in Ward 8, incumbent David Allen has one opponent, Demone Chestnut.
For Ward 9, Councilman Joel Wallace has decided not to seek re-election and three candidates are in that race, they are Mike Gluff, Jeff Henley and Bruce Livesay. In Ward 12 Councilman Jeff Burkhart is running unopposed.
Candidates on the November 8 ballot for Clarksville City Judge are incumbent Charles Smith and challenger Sam Knolton.
