CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Members of the Buddy Ball Special Needs Athletic League celebrated a special holiday weekend with their Christmas Party Friday night followed by Saturday sports action with the Fourth Annual Buddy Bowl. Buddy Ball, a part of Progressive Directions Inc, offers league sports for any person with a physical or intellectual disability.
Music, food and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus highlighted the party while the next day saw around 20 Buddy Ball players take to the field at Austin Peay’s Fortera Stadium for the flag football game. The Rossview High School football team, the Hawks, offered support as well at the APSU Governors Athletic Department.
The final score for the 2016 Buddy Bowl, the Buddy Ball White-Hawks were able to edge out the Buddy Ball Red-Hawks by a score of 46-32. To find out more about the Buddy Ball program go to www.BuddyBall.net.
