CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Eric Norman, the vice president for Student Affairs at Austin Peay State University, has resigned.
The announcement was made on Monday afternoon in an email from the university’s president, Michael Licari.
“Dr. Eric Norman informed me this morning that he has chosen to resign effective immediately, after 3 1/2 years serving as vice president of Student Affairs,” Licari said in the email to university students and staff.
Last week, Norman was placed on administrative leave for an unknown reason.
Bill Persinger, APSU spokesperson, told Clarksville Now Monday that the university is unable to comment on personnel matters or on Norman’s resignation.
Greg Singleton, who currently serves as the university’s associate vice president for Student Affairs and Dean of Students, will serve as interim VP, while Licari said he would work to form a search committee and begin a national search process for a new vice president for Student Affairs.
“I appreciate Dr. Norman’s years of service and all he has done to advance the division of Student Affairs and wish him well in his future endeavors,” Licari continued in the email.
Norman has not returned requests for comment.
