CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – An armed robbery suspect accused of carjacking a woman on Friday has been captured by Clarksville Police.

The suspect, 29-year-old Rico Mallory, was wanted for armed robberies at Metro PCS on Tiny Town Road and Chang’s Beauty Salon on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

According to police, Mallory and William Joyvonne Carter, 18, committed the robberies on Friday and fled in a black Cadillac CTS.

Police pursued the pair who struck a stopped car after turning onto Whitfield Rd. from the 101st Parkway.

The suspects then fled on foot. Carter was caught immediately but Mallory escaped.

Mallory then allegedly carjacked a woman at the intersection of Whitfield Rd. and the 101st. He sped off in the victim’s black Ford F-150 crew cab with black rims and military tag M4260. A dog was also inside the truck at the time of the carjacking.

Rico Mallory was captured just after 9:30 Friday night near Edmondson Ferry and Williams Lane. The stolen truck was recovered, and the dog was found later after being spotted by a couple from Oak Grove.

Mallory Rico is charged with aggravated robbery, carjacking, felony evading. He was previously charged with criminal simulation and forging titles.

William Joyvonne Carter, faces charges for aggravated robbery, evading, criminal simulation and forging titles. Both are in the Montgomery County jail.
