CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Kenwood High School Senior Morgan Corland has signed a letter of intent to attend Maryville College and play softball.
Morgan came to Kenwood High School as a freshman in the STEM Academy and has been a starting varsity softball player for the Lady Knights for the past four years. She plans to pursue a degree in nursing.
“I knew after just one visit last fall that Maryville was where I wanted to go to college… playing softball would be a bonus. When the softball coach contacted me about playing ball there, I was thrilled,” she said.
Morgan visited and received offers from a few other schools but said that after a second visit to Maryville in January where she met with the softball coaching staff, had lunch with the team and stayed to watch a practice, she felt welcomed, comfortable and at home.
