CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Teams from across Tennessee gathered at F&M Bank Arena for the 2026 VEX V5 Robotics State Championship, where middle and high school robotics teams are competing for state titles and the chance to advance to the VEX Robotics World Championship.
The two day event, held Friday and Saturday, brings together some of the top robotics teams in the state to showcase their engineering, programming, and teamwork skills. Students competing in the tournament earned their spots through various qualifying competitions. The championship games and competitions continued through Saturday evening at the arena.

Local leaders welcomed teams during the opening ceremony. Daniel Brown, unit manager for Hankook Tire America, welcomed competitors on behalf of the company, which is sponsoring the championship for the first time.
“Programs like this give students an opportunity to develop real-world STEM skills such as problem-solving, creative thinking, and collaboration,” Brown said during his remarks.

































The VEX V5 Robotics Competition is one of the largest robotics programs for middle and high school students worldwide, involving more than 20,000 teams globally.
Winning teams will move on to represent Tennessee at the world championship next month.
