Game of the Week: Clarksville High Wildcats (0-2) @ Rossview High Hawks (0-2)

One of the best high school football atmospheres in the country plays out its 24th edition of the Warfield Shield on Friday night.

Both teams are searching for their first win in the young season, and while the Wildcats are riding a seven-game win streak, anything that can happen will happen when these two squads get together.

Kirkwood High Cobras (2-0) @ Kenwood High Knights (1-1)

The first and only regional matchup in Region 7-5A will take place this week between the Knights and Cobras on Friday night.

The Cobras are red hot after two big inner-city wins, while the Knights have shown flashes of how good they can be this season. This matchup will be huge for playoff positioning come November.

Fort Campbell Falcons (0-2) @ Fort Knox Eagles (1-1)

The Army Bowl, an iconic rivalry that’s nearly half a century old will have its 49th annual meeting on Friday night.

Fort Campbell leads the all-time series 32-16 and has won the last three matchups. The Falcons will look to continue their streak and clinch their first win of the 2025-26 season.

Harpeth Indians (0-2) @ Montgomery Central Indians (0-2)

Montgomery Central’s home opener comes against the Harpeth Indians, who suffered losses against Hickman County and McEwen in their opening weeks.

After a triple overtime loss last week, MCHS looks to start their home slate with a win to move to 1-2.

Davidson Academy Bears (1-1) @ Northwest High Vikings (1-1)

A quality private school program comes to Clarksville to take on the Vikings this week as each team stands at 1-1 in the season.

Last week, Northwest lost in a shootout to Wilson Central and look to rebound in their first home game of the year.

Grace Christian Lions (2-0) @ Clarksville Academy Cougars (2-0)

Our only undefeated vs undefeated matchup of the week is a big game at Clarksville Academy.

The Lions have picked up two quality wins against Middle Tennessee Christian and Franklin Academy in the first two weeks of the season, while the Cougars have started 2-0 for the first time in five years.

Clarksville Academy will look to make a statement in a big way on their home field against Grace Christian.

Northeast High Eagles (2-0) @ McCracken County Mustangs (0-2)

A tale of two very different teams will play out on Friday night as the Northeast Eagles are taking on McCracken County.

Northeast is blazing hot, winning both of their first two games against Christian County and West Creek convincingly, while the Mustangs have lost their first two games by a combined 52 points. The Eagles will look to keep both streaks going as they visit Kentucky.

West Creek Coyotes (0-2) @ Antioch Bears (2-0)

A tough road test presents itself for the Coyotes in their first region game of the season.

Antioch, which has recently restored its historic program’s glory after a few tough seasons, defeated Mount Juliet and East Nashville in the opening two weeks. The Coyotes will look to shock some fans in Metro-Nashville come Friday night.
