CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – West Creek High senior quarterback Kinleigh Lewis has been named one of the 32 nominees for the Maxwell Award, the National Player of the Year award presented to the best flag football player in the nation by the NFL.

“It’s a great honor to have been selected to be a nominee for the Maxwell Award,” Lewis told Clarksville Now. “I’m glad that all of the talented athletes, and the sport as a whole, are being recognized nationally.”

Lewis is coming off a junior season where she was named all-county and all-tournament. During her sophomore year, she helped lead the Coyotes to a county championship victory. Then, last season, West Creek finished as county runners-up after losing to Montgomery Central in the championship game.

Now, in her final year with the program, Lewis will look to claim yet another county championship, as well as possibly earning the Maxwell Award.
