CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – High School football kicked off with a bang last week. Some teams collected their first wins, while others are still searching for their first victory. Let’s take a look at the matchups for week two in Clarksville-Montgomery County.

Clarksville Now Game of the Week: Kirkwood High @ Montgomery Central

The Kirkwood High Cobras are traveling across the river for the only inner-city matchup of the week with the Montgomery Central Indians. While they did lose, Montgomery Central is coming off a strong week against Clarksville High and looks to win their first game since 2022. As for Kirkwood High, they thrashed Sycamore 41-6 in their season opener, and now have their first road test against the Indians.

Clarksville High @ Springfield

The Clarksville High Wildcats and Springfield Yellowjackets are getting together for the 101st battle of the bridge rivalry. Last year, the Wildcats scored 35 unanswered points at home to win 42-7.

Wilson Central @ Northwest High

The Northwest High Vikings are coming off a major win at Fort Campbell High School. Now, the Vikings are set to host their first game of the season against Wilson Central. Wilson Central is coming off of a 22-14 loss to Rossview High last week.

Hendersonville @ Northeast High

The Northeast Eagles had a rough start in week one at Green Hill where they lost 41-7. Now, at home, the Eagles are looking to bounce back against a strong Hendersonville High team, who the Eagles lost to last year.

Ezell-Harding @ Clarksville Academy

Clarksville Academy opens their home slate with the Eagles from Ezell-Harding. The Cougars lost at Friendship Christian last week and hope to collect their first win of the early season at home.

Kenwood High @ East Nashville Magnet

After losing their home opener last week to Franklin Road Academy, the Kenwood Knights hit the road to visit East Nashville Magnet. Last year, the Knights lost this game in a shootout, and this year they look to win their first game on the road.

Logan County @ Rossview High

The Rossview High Hawks host the Cougars from Logan County for their first home game of the 2024-25 season. After a comeback victory at Wilson Central last week, the Hawks look to start the season 2-0 for the first time since 2015.

Green Hill @ West Creek

After a victory against Northeast High, Green Hill will matchup with another Clarksville team in West Creek. The Coyotes are 1-0 under Micheal Booker after a big victory against LaVergne last week and look to stay undefeated under his watch.

Fort Campbell @ Hopkins County Central

After a loss to Northwest last week, the Fort Campbell Falcons look to bounce back in their first road game of the season against Hopkins County Central. The Storm defeated the Falcons last year 60-28, so revenge is on the table for Fort Campbell.
