CLARKSVILLE, TN – Nineteen JROTC cadets attended the Junior Reserve Officers Leadership Challenge to test their individual and collective leadership skills. The camp was held at Wendell H. Ford Regional Training Center, Greenville, Kentucky June 3-7.

During the four-day leadership camp, cadets were exposed to physical fitness testing, leadership reaction course, water survival training and rappelling training. To be selected for this leadership camp JROTC cadets display leadership and academic achievement throughout the school year.

Lt. Commander (Retired) Hugo Jackson, the senior Army instructor, said that the camp showcases the best students we have at Kenwood High School and future leadership in our community. We are very proud to teach at Kenwood because we have the opportunity to motivate young people to be better citizens. This year, Kenwood High School graduating JROTC cadets received over $2 million in scholarships money from various universities around the nation.
