CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Having a hard time figuring out where to watch fireworks this 4th of July? We’ve got you covered.
Here are the hot spots in Clarksville to visit with your family to sit back and enjoy the show.
Clarksville Independence Day Celebration
The City of Clarksville will present its annual Independence Day Celebration on Monday, July 3 at Liberty Park. The free celebration, which will go on whether it rains or shine, will feature a live performance, games, food trucks, local beer from Kings Bluff Brewery, and fireworks.
The City of Clarksville and Montgomery County are co-sponsoring the fireworks display this year.
Liberty Park will open at 5 p.m. with activities and music beginning at 5 p.m. Starting off the entertainment will be the 101st Airborne Division Army Rock Band followed by Odiss Kohn. Headlining the event will be Curb recording artist Hannah Ellis.
Seating will be available throughout the park, and the concert will be on the Great Lawn near the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. The fireworks display will begin at 9:10 p.m.
Parking, shuttles and boating
Clarksville Marina members must have approved vehicle tags or a temporary pass to access the marina parking lot inside Liberty Park. Boats with trailers will be allowed to access the boat ramp parking area until 4 p.m. or until the parking area has been filled. No boats will be allowed to exit the parking area from 8 p.m. until the park empties after the fireworks display.
Additionally, Zinc Plant Road and the Zinc Plant Bridge will be closed to traffic from 8:50 p.m. until approximately 10 p.m. for the fireworks show. Guests should expect long delays on Riverside Drive and Highway 48-13 before and after the event.
There is no parking inside Liberty Park. Off-site event parking will be available at two locations once the gravel lot in front of Liberty Park Grill is full:
- CMCSS Facilities Building at 1312 Highway 48-13
- Cumberland Plaza Garage at 133 Commerce St.
Free, accessible Clarksville Transit System (CTS) shuttle service to both parking areas will begin at 5 p.m. and will drop patrons off in front of the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. Parking in Historic Downtown Clarksville is free on weekends.
All shuttles will continue their loop until 9 p.m. with a momentary pause of service during the fireworks.
