CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – After making it to the top eight on American Idol, Haven Madison‘s journey came to an abrupt halt Sunday night.
Since her first audition with the show’s judges, Haven’s rise to fame has been backed with insurmountable support from Clarksville locals as she made it through to the top eight contestants.

After singing a rendition of “Thinking Out Loud” with fellow contestant Zachariah Smith, voting ended, and Haven Madison was one of three contestants, including Warren Peay and Oliver Steele, who were eliminated from the top eight.
“My American Idol journey has come to an end,” Haven wrote on her Instagram. “It has been such an honor to perform on that stage and to have bonded with the people that have turned into extended family along the way. I am so happy to have shared my music with all of you and I hope you keep listening because there’s more where that came from. Thank you for helping me live this dream of a lifetime!”
Haven Madison, 16 and a Clarksville native, is a cheerleader at Clarksville High School and a member of the Student Government Association. She was homeschooled until her freshman year of high school. Her father, Jason Roy, guitarist and lead singer for Building 429, took his family with him on tours.
