Update, 5:35 p.m.: Power has been restored to all 6,700 customers, CDE reported.
“All power should be restored in the North Clarksville area as of 5:30 p.m. Thank you for your patience as we worked to get you back in service,” CDE said in its Facebook feed.
Traffic on Fort Campbell Boulevard appears to be clearing, with some lingering backups.
Update, 5:30 p.m.: Traffic is now mostly clear south of 101st Parkway on Fort Campbell Boulevard. Backups remain between Jack Miller and the 101st.
The power outage continues for about 6,700 customers.
“Traffic is causing some delays, getting engineers in place to reroute the feed to this area, therefore taking longer than the 30 min we estimated. We are still working on it and appreciate your patience,” CDE said on its Facebook page.
The outage has continued for over an hour and 15 minutes, with temperatures at 39 degrees and dropping. The low tonight is expected to be 27 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Update, 5 p.m.: Power remains out for over 6,000 customers in north Clarksville, along with traffic lights on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Thousands of people lost power in north Clarksville this afternoon, and traffic signals are out on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
CDE Lightband reported 6,700 customers were without power as of 4:15 p.m.
“Our engineers are working with TVA to resolve the problem and restore power,” CDE said in its Twitter feed.
“One of the TVA feeds between two of our substations went out of service. We are working to reroute the power now.”
As of 4:40 p.m., traffic signals were out at several intersections on Fort Campbell Boulevard, causing traffic backups from Cunningham Lane to Jack Miller Boulevard.
There were also backups on 101st Airborne Division Parkway where it meets Fort Campbell Boulevard.
Drivers are reminded that when a traffic signal is down, an intersection is treated as a four-way stop.
