CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville native and Rossview High alum Nate “The Train” Landwehr will step into the UFC octagon for the second time when he faces off against the seasoned Darren Elkins on May 16 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.

Landwehr suffered a first-round loss in January during his debut after Herbert Burns landed a right knee to score a knockout at UFC Fight Night 166 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

His second opponent, “The Damage”, returns to the octagon after a 10-month layoff and looks to put a halt to his three-fight losing streak.

The main event on the card features a clash between heavyweights Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris.

Landwehr (13-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) will try to play the role of spoiler on Elkins’s (24-8 MMA, 14-7 UFC) birthday night, as the UFC veteran turns 36 the day of the fight.
