Twenty-five years ago, Dr. David Allen and his wife, Sue, began building what would become one of Clarksville’s established multidisciplinary healthcare practices.
Today, Riverside Spine & Physical Medicine is celebrating two milestones: 25 years of serving the community and its 17th Best of Clarksville award for chiropractic care, earned again in October 2026.
But Riverside isn’t simply celebrating its past. The practice is also beginning an exciting new chapter.
On Aug. 1, 2026, Riverside expanded its services to include adult primary care, giving Clarksville residents another option for routine medical care, preventive services, and ongoing health management.
“For 25 years, we’ve been blessed with the trust and loyalty of so many Clarksville patients and families,” said Dr. Allen. “Being voted Best of Clarksville again is especially meaningful because that recognition comes from the community we’ve had the privilege of serving. We’re incredibly grateful, and we’re excited about what the future holds.”
More healthcare services, one familiar location
What began as a chiropractic practice has evolved into a multidisciplinary healthcare center offering chiropractic care, physical therapy, medical weight loss, hormone optimization, spinal decompression, and other non-surgical treatments.
The addition of primary care brings another important dimension of healthcare into the same practice.
Led by Medical Director Robert Jackson, MD, and physician assistant Zack Stewart, PA, Riverside’s adult primary care services include annual physicals, preventive screenings, sick visits, laboratory testing, and management of common chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and thyroid disorders.
For existing Riverside patients, this means more healthcare needs can be addressed in a familiar setting. For those seeking a new primary care provider, it offers an opportunity to establish an ongoing relationship with a medical team focused on personalized care.
Accepting new patients – without long wait
One of the most appealing aspects of Riverside’s new primary care program is appointment availability.
New adult primary care patients can typically be seen within just a few days, making it easier to establish care without a lengthy wait for an initial appointment.
“We know how frustrating it can be when someone needs a primary care provider but can’t get an appointment for weeks,” Allen said. “We want patients to know we’re here, we’re accepting new patients, and we’re ready to help them take care of their health.”
Celebrating the past, investing in the future
After 25 years and 17 Best of Clarksville chiropractic awards, Riverside remains committed to the community that helped it grow.
“Our goal has never been just to grow a practice,” Allen said. “It’s to keep finding better ways to care for our patients. Adding primary care is an important part of that commitment.”
