CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – November is the season of giving for food relief organizations in Clarksville. Each year, food drives are held throughout the community with local businesses stepping up to combat food insecurity in the area.

Looking to get involved? Here’s where to help:

Combat Hunger will be held Saturday, November 9 with one county wide collection effort hosted by Manna Cafe Ministries. Volunteers will be set up outside most major grocery stores including Kroger, Walmart, Hilltop Supermarket, and more. Local radio stations including Q108, Beaver 1003, Rewind 94.3, and Z97.5 will join them on Saturday from 11a – 3pm. The goal is to collect around 50,000 lbs of food each year.

Clarksville Guns & Archery is supporting the Manna Café all month long with a Fall Food Drive. Now through Thanksgiving, donations of non-perishable food items are being collected at 1690 Golf Club Lane, Monday – Saturday, 9am – 7pm.

Clarksville Transit System will host the annual Basket of Thankfulness offering free bus rides to those who donate two cans of food or more during November.

Wingmen MC Food Drive will host a mobile food drive November 8 – 10. The motorcycle club will collect items for Saint Michaels Food Drive to distribute for Thanksgiving to families in Oak Grove and Clarksville.
