CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A funeral van was stolen from the parking lot of Tennova Medical Center Wednesday after the driver left it running and unattended.
A funeral home from Mississippi had stopped at the hospital around 4:45 p.m. to pick up a transport. The driver of the van left it unsecured and running while he went inside to talk to hospital staff about arrangements.
When the driver returned to the van a short time later, it had been stolen. The vehicle was stolen before a body had been picked up.
The stolen vehicle is a black 2013 Dodge Caravan with Mississippi tag GNW686. The van had AFFORDABLE FUNERAL SERVICE stickers on both sides and the rear of the vehicle.
