CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A man who was believed to be committing a home invasion and held at gunpoint turned out to be confused and intoxicated.

Police say Sean Turner went drinking in Nashville Saturday night and reportedly called an UBER ride to take him back to his home on Grassmire Drive in Clarksville.

Turner went to the wrong house and when he was unable to get in through the front door, he went behind the home and kicked in the back door. That’s where a resident inside was waiting for him with a gun.

He was held until officers arrived and charged him with public intoxication.
